Insurance: What Should Be Checked?

A landscaper should have a landscaping insurance policy (liability) in place before they do any work on your property.

The basic thing in this business is making sure your contractor has insurance. What’s their liability? Typically $600,000 to $1,000,000 is where your contractor should be. God forbid anything happen to the property but that’s really what it should be.

Your contractor should call the insurance company and the insurance company, in turn, should send you that certificate before any work commences.
